Daphne Cuvelier
Daphne is a PhD student at the University of the Azores and is interested in the spatial variation and micro-distribution of faunal assemblages occupying hydrothermal vent structures. The primary area of her research is the Eiffel Tower edifice located in the Lucky Strike Vent Field. Much of her work is based on analyzing image data from 1994 to the present. On this cruise, she will be responsible for the faunal samples to be taken for Ana Colaço (University of the Azores) and in examining video footage and high definition pictures taken at different sites of the Lucky Strike Vent Field.
